spinner kept falling off
i removed the top screw for the water input to the spinner, which gave me enough room to replace the worn nipple pin that the spinner snaps on to. then snapped the new spinner in place. and then screwed everything back into place.

Borke the spinner off with dishes that were too tall. (Oops!)
1. Put a towel over the bottom of the machine. (In case you drop the screw... duh!)

2. Remove the top screw.

3. Replace the snap pin (pointy end DOWN.)

4. Snap the spinner in place.

5. Replace the screw. (Or go to the hardware store to replace the screw you dropped into the bottom of the dishwasher. Dashitall!)

Upper Spinner in Dishwasher
The upper spinner was laying in the top washer basket. I went online but no help was avaiable. Went to store where we purchased dishwasher and they gave me part number to order but not online I had to call to order. Part arrived in about three days. I took two screws loose on the top of dishwasher removed broke retainer to put new retainer in but I drop it into dishwasher so you have to me very careful
so I tried to order just the retainer but is not sold by it self. Had to order whole new kit. Other than that it is easy dishwasher runs like a new one.

The Spinner at the top of the dishwasher came off and would not stay on.
First of all I appreciate the instructions provided by this site when I selected the part I needed! The installation was so easy. I popped the end caps off of the top rack guides and removed the top rack. I reach in and popped the clips holding the top sprayer bar and gently pulled down on the sprayer bar enough to place the spinner button in the top of the sprayer bar. Then pressed the spinner on the bottom of the sprayer bar into the button I place in the top of the sprayer bar and reattached the sprayer bar to the clips. Put the top rack back on the guides and replaced the guide caps and it was finished. Easy fix thanks to this site great instructions!

Top spinner kept coming off due to worn bushing
I Removed the upper wash rack by removing locks on each front slide of rack. I laid a towel in the bottom of the washer to keep anything dropped, retrievable. I then removed the top screw closest to the spinner location. I then carefully pulled down on the mounting, which exposed the bad bushing lock. I removed the old bushing lock and replaced with new one. I then replaced the spinner with a push with one hand while holding the bushing in place with the other hand. You will feel a snap as all goes into place. Make sure new spinner spins freely. Now reinstall removed screw. Do not over tighten. Now reinstall lower rack, carefully aligning water feed in rear of washer, and making sure all rollers are back in sliding rack. Reinstall locking tabs onto sliding rack. Now slide out rack, it should not come off slider. Important: now remove the towel in the bottom of the washer. If left in place, you will have a fire during the drying cycle. Close the door and test your washer through a cycle. I felt confident and did a load of dishes. If all went well, spinner should be in place, not in the bottom of the washer.

The spinner fell off in my dishwasher and i would like to know if i can purchase just the barbed spinner holder or do i have to purchase the kit. The spinner is perfectly fine, i would probably want a few of the barbed spinner holders if this is something that will fall off more than just one time(or knocked off by a careless dishwasher loading person lol.)
For model number DU1048XTPQ0

Hi Cathleen, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately you would have to replace your spinner kit. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

My problem is i am not getting sufficient water to the middle spray arm and the top spinner. I ordered and replaced the tube, middle spinner, it's seal, and the top spinner. The old replacement parts were corroded and caked with dry dish powder. I am still not getting sufficient water to the middle and top rack. Is it possible the pump is clogged? If i need to clean or replace the pump, do you have remove and replace instruction on how to do this for my model?

When we run the dishwasher, this spinner falls off. I push it back on, but it falls off each wash. Would it help to replace it, or is the problem with the part it connects to?
For model number MBD7749SBQ

Hello David, thank you for your question. We would recommend replacing the spinner itself. I hope this helps.

Dishes on upper rack do not get clean
For model number KUDS35FXBLA
PartSelect logo
Hi Cathy, Thank you for your question. If the dishes on the upper rack are not getting clean, there are some things that you will need to check to see what is causing the issue. There may be something blocking the spray arm preventing the water from reaching the upper rack. Check to make sure that there are no obstructions. If the dishwasher is overloaded, this can prevent your dishwasher from cleaning properly. The holes where the water comes out of on the spray arm may be clogged and you will either have to clean the holes out or replace the spray arm. If the dishes are not placed correctly in the rack, this can prevent them from being cleaned properly. Cups and bowls should face down or otherwise water will collect in them. The face of each dish should face toward the center of the dishwasher. Place glasses between spindles rather than on or over them so that water doesn't get trapped. If the water pressure is low going into your dishwasher the dishes on the top rack may not get clean. This can be caused by a kink in the dishwasher hose or low water pressure to your home. If it happens only occasionally, it may be caused by other appliances or activities using water, such as the clothes washer, bathtub and sprinklers. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

The top spinner fell off; will the dishwasher work without the top spinner kit while we wait for the repair?
For model number DUI300xtvb2
PartSelect logo
Hi Teresa, thank you for your question. It should work though you might have an excess of water coming from the tube at the top where the missing spinner is. So you may see a decrease in the quality of the dish wash. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Top spinner and spray arm do not turn.
For model number DU1055XTVS3
PartSelect logo
Hello Wanda, thank you for your question. The first thing we recommend doing is removing the top spinner and cleaning it very well. Make sure its attached securely and that the part is not clogged. It would also be a good idea to check under the bottom spray arm for any clogs or debris that may be down in the sump, if the sump is clogged the water will not be pushed through to the other spray arms. If these sections are clear, we would recommend checking the back manifold tube, and where it connects to the bottom of the dishwasher. I hope this helps!

The top rack items aren't cleaning well at all. Could it be the top spinner center part or the entire top spinner part.Should the top spinner mechanism wobble at all?
For model number KUDS40CVSS3
PartSelect logo
Hi Deb, Thank you for your question. If the dishes on the top rack are not getting cleaned, then it could be the top spinner. The top spinner should not be wobbling and it should run smoothly. Make sure the holes in the spray arms are not clogged with debris. Make sure the water is hot when using the dishwasher. Run the water in the tap for a few minutes until it is good and hot and then run the dishwasher. Make sure there is adequate water pressure going to the dishwasher. Also, check to make sure the heating element in the dishwasher is working correctly if not, this can prevent the dishes from getting cleaned correctly. How you arrange the dishes in the dishwasher is important as well. If they are arranged in a way that will prevent the water from reaching the dishes on the top rack, then this will prevent them from getting cleaned. There are some other parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the chopper assembly, the spray arm seal, the sump pump check valve, the impeller and seal kit, the circulation pump and motor, the water supply manifold probe, the lower spray arm, the feed tube and the sump and motor assembly. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
