Freezer door would open when food door would close
Bought two gaskets for both doors was just going to replace both due to age. Food door gasket was received damaged shipped poorly and I am still waiting on a refund. But went ahead with the repair , since freezer door was the one I was concerned about. Opened Freezer door gasket package and it was dirty and looked old from sitting in warehouse. I had to but it in the tub to make it pliable and I cleaned it also since it was in water already. Installed it pretty simple . Turned out the refrigerator wasn't leveled properly. Didn't realize the refrigerator is suppose to slope to the back . Called up GE and they helped me out. Customer Service from partselect.com and GE were very nice.
cold air leaking around gaskets on freezer and fresh food doors
Replaced freezer door gasket and fresh food door gasket. fresh food door gasket is works OK. BUT cannot stop new freezer door gasket from leaking cold air . Looked at three or four you tube videos for instructions and seemed to work well. I took off the freezer gasket and turned it over (end for end) and it still has a cold air leak. help

Unable to get the gasket to snap in tightly into the freezer door.
For model number PSC23MGSACC
Hi Susan,
Thank you for your inquiry. Sometimes after a gasket is installed, bulges in the gasket may prevent the gasket from sealing correctly. You may want to try some adhesive tape at first to help keep the door closed. This should remove any bulges in the gasket. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

I bought and installed the freezer gasket. I can't get the new gasket to seal up against face of the freezer where the doors come together. I warmed the gasket in the sun for 3 hours before installing. I tried a hair dryer and i have tape on the door now. But it still isn't sealed. What should i try next?

Thank you for your question. Sometimes it can take about a week for your gasket to seal correctly to your appliance. You can continue warming the gasket to help it along. If you still cannot get your gasket to seal up, please contact our customer service with the model number and serial number of your appliance. We would be able to do a warranty with you.
