How does one get into the control panel or top to replace the harness switch? This is a stove with a glass top and I do not know how to remove the top.
For model number J2S968SEK3SS
Hi Don, Thank you for the question. First you will need to remove the control knobs. Next remove the valve shaft nuts and the top panel will come off. Disconnect the keypad ribbon cable and remove the inner panel. This will give you access to the harness switch. Make the switches are placed firmly onto the burner valve tabs and then reassemble. Hope this helps!

Installing ignition harness - back burner knobs are connected to gas line supports. Do i disconnect gas lines at connections to allow removal/ install
For model number JGSP28SEK4SS
Hi Doug,
Thank you for your question. Before you begin any repair please unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet. Remove the grates from the top of the stove and remove all of the burner caps. Using a Phillips head screw driver unthread the screws securing the burner heads. Disconnect all of the spark wires from the surface igniters attached to the heads. Insert a putty knife under the main top to release the retaining clips. Detach the main top and use a quarter inch wrench to release the screw holding the ground wire. Then set the maintop aside. Then remove all of the burner control knobs. Unthread the mounting screws securing the burner valves to the front manifold panel. Open the oven the door and remove the bottom screws securing the manifold panel. Then remove the screw from the top of the manifold panel and then set it aside. Using a small flat head screw driver, depress the tabs to release the spark switches from the valve. Disconnect the incoming power wire connector and detach the outgoing power wire from the spark module. Release the wires from the retaining clip and you then you can fully remove the old wire harness. Then you can install the new wire harness connection by first inserting the wires through the frame. Follow the steps in reverse and reinstall the parts. Restore power to the oven and everything should work for you. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Hi
When i turn the first knob form the left the gas releases but the lighter is not clicking. Then i turn the second knob the lighter clicks and the first one turns on.
which part should i buy to replace.
thank you
For model number PGS968SEM2SS
Hello Sevada, thank you for your question. The spark ignition switch and harness is more likely to be the problem, but you can test the individual switches with a multimeter to see if they have continuity. If one does not, then the spark igniter switch and harness assembly would need to be replaced. Hope this helps!

The two eyes on the right side of my rage are not igniting or sparking could it be the harness?
For model number JGSP28DEN1BB
Hello Christopher, thank you for your inquiry. Based on our understanding of the issue, we would suggest checking the spark ignition switch and harness, part number PS953098, to fix the issue. The spark ignition switch sends voltage to the spark module, which produces a spark. If it is faulty, the burner will not spark or ignite. We hope this solves your problem!
