Plastic covering control panel tore and came loose
Unplugged machine, popped off screw covers and removed screws, removed control panel assembly (slide to left and lift off - had to figure this out), turned over and unscrewed self-contained control module, then reinstalled it on backside of new panel assembly and reattached to machine. It was very easy and didn’t take long - and it works perfectly.

The clear plastic separated from the panel and keep lifting when taking the clothes out of the machine. Will this new panel (a050) be the fix and if so how do you take it off the machine.Thanks

Hello David, thank you for your question. The panel, part number AGL73961603 is the part that has the control function buttons on it. If this is lifting when removing clothes from the unit it would be the correct part needed to complete the repair. The bolt caps, and bolts can be reused from the original. On the top corners of the panel there are button plugs that cover the screws. Those would be removed, the screws would be un threaded and the panel could be pulled up and off the unit. There may be some clips as well that may have to be released from the panel to get it to come loose. I hope this helps!

Hi, the plastic cover part started to come up on the control panel. It actually looked like protective covering on the panel, but it wasn't. Taking laundry out, it pulled up and now is a mess. Is this the correct part to replace it?
