How do you de-energize the magnetron to change the unit
For model number HMD8451UC

Hi Donald, thank you for the question. We have found that a magnetron is a device for generating microwave energy. When not generating, there is nothing to discharge. The associated high-voltage power supply will have capacitors that should be discharged before working on the appliance. We have included a link for you to help you discharge the capacitor.
