my ice maker seems to over flow, ans wind up with frozen water in the ice tray. will this part solve the problem?

Hello Dan, thank you for contacting us. The water inlet valve requires a minimum of 20 psi to work properly. If the water pressure is too low due to clogging, the valve may not close fully when the power is shut off. As a result, the valve leaks water into the ice maker, causing it to overflow. Check the water supply tube for any clogging or blockages, and clear the tube. If the water tube is clear, you may have a faulty icemaker. You may need to replace the ice maker, part number PS11771287. We hope this helps.
Our ice maker is leaking. I checked and the ice tray has a crack in it. Is it possible to just order the ice tray and not the whole ice maker unit?

Hi Kevin, thank you for reaching out. We have found that the ice tray for your model is not sold separately. You may need to replace the entire ice maker assembly, part number PS8730981, to fix the issue. Good luck with this repair!

My ice maker seems to have stopped making ice. I took out the tray and looked inside. There is a triangular piece that dangles on a metal piece that is inserted into the assembly to the left. It is very loose and moves around a lot. I think it may be broken but I can’t tell, and I’d like to repair it myself if possible (it feels as if the metal piece isn’t properly mounted inside the assembly). Any help appreciated!
