Hello, have a Frigidaire refrigerator that is appear the starter relay, pt# 218721103, has failed. I was getting a burning odor off and on and upon moving the unit i found the relay shows melting. Just wondering if it could just be the relay or the whole compressor unit that caused this. Thanks john
For model number FRT18SJG
Hi John,
Thank you for your inquiry. It sounds like you will need to replace the start relay, but to verify if the compressor needs to be replaced you will need to test it with a multimeter to check the continuity of it and make sure it is working correctly. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

There is a red wire and a white wire that go into this part. Do the wires come with this or do I remove the existing wires from the defective part and reattach to the new part?
For model number MRT18NREW3
Hi Troy, Thank you for the question. The wires are not included and you will need to remove then from the original part and use them on the new overload. Hope this helps!
