I'm looking to replace the door striker and door lock on our front loading Kenmore washing machine. The door striker broke off in the door lock and the machine won't work even when we force and tape the door shut. This is the second time it has happened.

Hello Amanda, thank you for your query. You may need to replace the door lock switch assembly, part number PS7792232, and the door lock hook, part number PS8752721, to fix the issue. The door lock switch prevents the washer door from opening during the wash cycle or spin cycle and the door lock hook attaches to the washer door and activates the door lock when you close the door. Not a question....a very positive comment. First I thought my drain pump was broken so I replaced it but the unit still would not drain. Chris promptly answered my question of what else could be the problem and he suggested the door latch assembly. I ordered and changed out that part and it works perfectly now. Thank you so very much for excellent customer service.
