UO error - vent open
Pulled out the dishwasher - Located the vent assembly part - unpluged the wiring harness - installed new vent on top of washer plugged in the harness - disconnected the water supply as I had to adjust the rear left leg. Once done I reconnected the water supply and repositioned the dishwasher. WA-LA once installed problem solved.No more washing by hand.
Pull out shut off power unscrewed fan.Replaced with new fan . Rest power and shoved back in ran cycle. All was fine

My dishwasher is throwing a errow code uo it says it is the vent sensor and to check it, i need to know where to locate this part and how to check it, thank you so much,

Error Code = UO
Check / Repair / Solution = While in the wash cycle, Main Control Board does not receive a signal from the vent assembly that the vent plunger is closed. Plunger status is sensed with the optical sensors in vent assembly.
Your vent assembly and blower PS12741853 are part of the door itself most models have it on the top left side.

Does the part number 5304523304 vent motor assembly come with the mounting nut to hold it in place? Also my model has this fan mounted on top of the unit. Is this still the correct part?

Error code on display panel reads Uo

Hi Louanne, thank you for reaching out. The error code Uo means a vent open. This usually happens when the dishwasher does not vent properly and blocking the ventilation hole.
