The Kenmore Front End Loader Drum Baffle
The part was correct. Had to trim two of the six snap in clips that hold the part down as they would not all guide align with the holes. I trimmed about 2 mm. on each back from one edge so the clips would drop into the slots in order to be pulled into place. We thought it was coming by delivery Service but were pleasantly surprised to have it arrive in our mail system. Good idea. Very happy with the service and product and my clothes are clean again. ?? Thanks for the excellent service.

broken drum vane needed replacing
Front-loading Frigidaire washer made by Electrolux: I removed the one phillips screw that secures the drum, but found the vane did not slide toward the front as I'd read it should. Nor was I able to squeeze the base to release it. I ended up using a rubber mallet and screwdriver to spring the snaps at the bottom of the vane. Once I had two of these on the same side out, I was able to slide the vane forward and remove it. Turns out there was a metal tab, part of the drum, bent into the vane so it couldn't slide for removal. I bent this tab down even with the drum surface, and the new vane slid in easily.

Leak in pump seal & cracked drum veins (2)
Very easy - veins are held in with one screw, when removed just slide to front of the washer and lift out. Pump assembly is a remote unit complete with drive motor. Take 2 screws out of the water shield, then unplug power to the pump motor and the green ground wire. Slide a cloth under the machine at the area of the pump to catch the water when the hoses are removed. Remove the hose clamp from the rear of the pump and the clamp on the discharge hose. You may be able th remove the hoses now, but if not remove the two bolts that hold the pump to the washer base & then remove the hoses. When you have the pump out you have to change the mounting base to the new pump. Also you may have to rotate the new pump discharge side with the motor (instructions are included with the new pump) - mount new pump, attach hoses, clamps, wires and water cover. Install front door that was removed at the start - pump in in the front right corner after removing the access door in front.

Unit sounds like a Jet engine on spin cycles. Looking for a likely cause to determine if the parts needed are worth the repair thank you
For model number GLTF1670AS0
Hi Lee, Thank you for the question. If the noise is coming from the front bottom under the tub it will need a new pump, Part Number: PS2342445. If it is the back of the drum, you may need a new bearing. The Rear Outer Tub Assembly includes the bearing, PartSelect Number: PS418071. Hope this helps!
