Dryer runs continuously unless door is open. I have cleaned the sensor bars thoroughly and replaced the thermistor and blower thermostat. Still have problem. Dryer is all electronic so there is not a separate timer. Thinking pcl is bad. Please help

We would recommend checking the following parts to fix your issue: door catch, heating element, and check the connections on the control board.You can test the parts with a multimeter. We had a power surge that blew out the washer and dryer. Would the control board replacement bring it back to life ? Both appliances...

Thank you for your question. Those parts are likely to be the ones that have malfunctioned in your appliance because of the surge. However the only way to know for sure would be to have a technician come in and test the parts. Unfortunately with a surge it could have effected any of the electrical parts inside of your machine.
