I can see water leaking during the initial fill from the Inlet valve (exterior-left side). The inlet valve overfills (receives water from the Water Inlet Valve) and then spills out onto the floor. The inlet valve assembly is not clogged and water flows freely through it into the dishwasher interior.
I can only imagine that water metering from the water inlet valve has somehow failed and now I get too much at a time into the inlet valve during fill causing a spill out onto the floor.
Could there be another cause-maybe a back pressure that won't allow water to flow into the machine through the inlet valve-or-am I on the right track with the faulty water inlet valve...?

Hello Bob, than you for your question. Yes, the Water Inlet Valve PS11752927 you had mentioned is what we recommend for your model. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you.
As soon as the inlet water valve opens to fill the dishwasher, water starts pouring from the top of the Inlet Housing. I don’t see any gaskets on the cap for this housing so it doesn’t appear to be a pressure-tight enclosure. Is there a flow restricting orifice that I’m missing or is this housing the culprit? Thanks for your advice.

Hi Greg, Thank you for writing. This would normally be caused my a faulty Water Inlet Housing or the Check Float. We hope this helps!
I have water dripping down the left front edge of my (approximately) 6 year old KitchenAid dishwasher, and from the float/float switch housing (bottom right side near the front). I replaced all the following items within the last month and it still drips: water inlet valve 3 replacements, including 2 in the past 3 months (part #3 of fill, drain, overfill diagram)
float switch (part #9 of fill, drain, overfill diagram)
gasket for where the float switch housing passes through the tub floor (part #11 of fill, drain, overfill diagram)
inner door gasket (part #3 of tub & frame diagram not to be confused with part #7 (seal) of same diagram)
door bottom seal (part #4 of inner door diagram)
regarding the right side leak, the stem of the float, which activates the float switch, passes through the tub floor via a channel of the (float switch) housing, yet it doesn't appear there is any sort of o ring type seal to ensure no water runs down that opening. does the housing have such a seal inside that channel that i can't see?
what else could cause these leaks; or do i need to replace my dishwasher?

Hello Alan, thank you for your question, We would recommend checking the float housing Part #: PS11738118, and the water inlet on the side of the dishwasher, part number PS3407839. The water may be leaking around the port where the water flows into the tub. I hope this helps!
