How do you clean (remove black marks) from the burner cap and gray grates. Someone suggested oven cleaner, but I also thought I read something about using ammonia. Thank you!
For model number JGBP28DET2WW
Hello Judith, thank you for the great question. The burner cap and grey grates should be washed regularly. Wash them in hot, soapy water, and rinse them with clean water. You may scrub with a plastic scouring pad to remove the burned-on food particles. To remove stubborn stains from the burner cap, soak it in a solution of mild detergent and hot water for 20–30 minutes and scrub it with a toothbrush. To get rid of burned-on food from grates, place them in a covered container. Add 1/4 cup ammonia and let them soak for several hours or overnight. We hope this information helps!

The OEM cap has three pegs on the large burner at the rear of the cap but the replacement shows four. Will this work?
For model number jgbp30wea5ww
Hello David,
Thank you for your question.
All of our parts are sourced from the original appliance manufacturer, in this case GE. It appears GE have made a slight change to the burner caps for your model but they will work.
I hope this helps
