blowing 15 amp fuse when hitting power button
Looked at schematic to see which parts became active when the power button was pushed. From there used meter to determine diode was open and capacitor was shorted. Biggest trouble was dis-assembly/assembly required to get to electrical parts.
Removed control panel disconnected old capacitor installed new and returned the leads back on to the new. replaced control cover and tested

For model number PVM9179SK2SS
Hello Fernando, thank you for your question. There are a few parts you will want to test to determine what the issue is. We would recommend testing both thermostats, part numbers PartSelect Number: PS11736326 and PartSelect Number: PS11736327 as well as the door switches in the unit. It is possible the door switches or latch is loose and causing the unit to shut off too soon. The door switches are parts numbers PartSelect Number: PS237422 and PartSelect Number: PS237421. I hope this helps!

For model number JVM1443BK02
Hello Sam, Thank you for your inquiry. We have researched the model number you have provided and part# WB27X10240 is the compatible part to your model. For safety reasons, since the microwave capacitor can still store electricity even when the microwave is unplugged, it is usually advised that you discharge the capacitor before any attempt at repair. We have included a link on how to do so.
