Broiler element would come on during bake cycle intermittently causing overheat with F10 error code
Replaced control board.
Remove power from stove
1. Remove upper sheet metal cover along with plastic trim and sheet metal brace on rear of stove. 2. Disconnect wire connectors to board. The ribbon wire connectors were fragile and difficult, so be careful and pry loose. 3. Remove screws holding board and remove board. 4. Install new board, screws, connectors, trim and sheet metal.

Receiving error code 'f10' and oven greatly overheats ! Temp sensor # 316490000 is good @ 1084 ohms . Do i need an eoc ? Possibly part # 316576600. At $265.00 i wanna be sure !!! thanks for the assistance don.

Hi Don,
Thank you for your question. The F10 error code is referring to a runaway temperature in your oven. This can be caused by a stuck relay or contact on the electronic control board. If this error code appears when the oven is at room temperature, then this issue is caused by either an oven temperature sensor probe circuit or a bad electronic oven control board. You will need to test each part with a multimeter to see which part is causing the issue. When measuring the probe at room temperature, it should read 1100 ohms. If it reads 2500 ohms or higher then it will need to be replaced. If the sensor is okay, then you will need to check the resistance of the wiring between the sensor and the electronic control board. If the wiring is okay, then the issue is likely with the electronic control board. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
