Code e16 washer starts door locks tub turns about 1/8 turn then door unlocks and machine turns off. Tub turns freely.

Hi Ralph, Thank you for the question. The E16 error code indicates a failure with the drive motor.According to the manual, here are a few steps to take.First Ensure all 4 shipping bolts have been removed.Remove any foreign objects that may be trapped between the spin basket and the outer plastic tub, Small clothing items can get inside. Unplug the washer and reconnect any loose wiring connections on the drive motor. If the wiring connections are okay, replace the drive motor. Hope this helps!

The error code shows e23 inverter under voltage. I don't think that the drive motor is the issue because i replaced it about four months ago. The tub spins freely by hand. Any ideas?

Hello Ron, thank you for contacting us. A leaking Water Valve or faulty Pump can cause this error. The replacements for your model are Water Inlet Valve part number PS1019151 and Motor and Drain Pump part number PS1766031. I hope this helps and good luck with your repair!
