Hi Charles, Thank you for your question. NOTE: If you are not comfortable doing this yourself, please get an electrician to do this repair. Before you begin any repair please unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet or turn the circuit breaker off. To replace the power cord in your microwave, you will first need to remove it from the cabinet. Have an assistant support the microwave while you unthread the mounting screws securing the microwave to the cabinet. You will then need to carefully tilt the cabinet down and thread the power cord through the opening. Lift the microwave off of the mounting bracket and place it on a sturdy surface with a towel or blanket under it. Use a Philips head screwdriver to unthread the screws securing the grille. With the screws removed, open the microwave door and then slide the grill to the left and lift it up to remove it. Remove the glass tray and turntable if they are still in the microwave. Close the door and place the microwave on its back panel and then unthread the screws securing the bottom panel. Then disconnect the wire harness and release the wires from the twist retainer to allow you to remove the bottom panel. With the screws removed, pull the panel away from the base and disconnect the wire harness. Detach the grommet from the frame and pull the wire free. Note the orientation of the wires attached to the turntable motor and depress the locking tabs securing them and then remove the bottom panel. Return the microwave to its upright position. Remove the screws securing the cabinet. Then unthread the screws securing the blower cover and remove the cover. Now, you can fully remove the cabinet. To avoid injury, you will need to release the electrical charge in the capacitor with a pair of needle nose pliers. Use pliers that have an insulated handle and touch both terminals at the same time. Be careful not to touch the metal portion of the pliers. Note the orientation of the power cord wires and disconnect them from the noise filter board and then remove the screw and washer to release the ground wire. You can now remove the old power cord. Install the new power cord, by connecting the wires to the appropriate terminals on the noise filter board. Then secure the grounding wire to the frame and make sure the power cord is secured in the bracket. Then reinstall the cabinet and make sure the cabinet lines up with the tabs on the microwave and secure it with the screws. Then rest the microwave on its back panel. Reconnect the bottom panel by first installing the wire harness and securing the wires in the twist retainer. Then secure the bottom panel with the screws. Put the microwave back in its upright position. Make sure the charcoal filter is properly aligned and then replace the grill by inserting the tabs in the frame and then slide the grill to the right. Then rethread the mounting screws. Reinstall the microwave on the mounting bracket and thread the power cord through the opening in the cabinet and then the secure the microwave with the mounting screws. Plug the microwave back in and it should now work for you. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
