The dishwasher that I bought has this part for sealing the door when closed. If it is not in place water seeps out while in wash mode. I bought this dishwasher on sale. Since having it I replaced this piece for the 2nd time. The wheels of the bottom rack run over this piece each time you manouver the rack which cause it to break down. The pieces are great though expensive, I will be getting rid of the washer eventually.
