I replaced the brake assembly and the new helix ( plastic type) the washer has all new parts from the factory, I only ever changed the motor and 1 belt, prior to these parts she was only washing turning the agitator and not bin, not spin either, now I can see she needs a belt, its shot, but I see the brake is still not releasing 100%, I don't follow the .030 space they are talking about, is that between the two white helices? Oh I did also put on a new pulley on the hub, the top part was worn down to the alum is what I think the issue was... the trans seems fine, I can start here with my hands and she works spin and wash, but seems to tight must have more or less shims on the main nut? Also should the main pulley move up and down freely on the shaft? or not...
For model number LW8203W2
Hi Wayne,
Thank you for your question. If the washer is not spinning, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. Here is a link from our website that you may reference on what parts to check, https://www.partselect.com/Repair/Washer/Will-Not-Spin/. The pulley should not be wobbling. If it is, then it needs to be either tightened or replaced if it is worn out. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
