Fridge section too warm. Evaporator fan motor stopped working.
Although the fridge is too warm the culprit is the evaporator fan motor at the back of the freezer section.

Remove the rack in the freezer section and the icemaker if you have one. Then remove the back cover by taking out the two screws. Unplug the wiring harness and pull out the back cover. The central plastic "cover assembly" is secured by two metal rings. Mine were badly rusted so I left them off. The motor comes out with a quarter turn motion and the fan just pulls off.

From there it's fairly straightforward how to put everything back together. Make sure the airflow holes between the freezer and fridge section are free of ice. Since the old foam ripped apart, I used a bead of silicon where the cover assembly fits into the front hole. It probably wasn't necessary but it secured it without the metal rings.

This looks like it has a female connector. Mine has a male. Is there an adapter available for this?
