The knob that I use to control the heat of the stove broke. What is the official name of the part so I can find it?

Hi Liana, Thank you for the question.The official name is a Knob. The white knob is Part Number: PS12347988. The Black knob is Part Number: PS12114470 and the Stainless is Part Number: PS10067059. Hope this helps!

There is a semi-circular metal piece that helps to keep the oven knob securely in place (fits into the back of the knob). It is not listed on the picture diagrams. Is it possible to purchase this piece individually?

Hello Elliot, thank you for your question. The metal piece that you're speaking of is only included with the knob itself. It cannot be purchased separately. I hope this helps!
