I recently had service tech on dishwasher. Would not start. He came and got it running did not leave any ticket or receipt so I do not know what he did. He told my wife that we should let hot water run a bit before starting dishwasher unit. I would have questioned his statement in that it had work in previously with out doing this. A week later it still runs but does not get hot or dry dishes. I have replaced the thermostat and heating element still having same problem. I am hesitant to call a technician again due to past experience with their ability. Could a program card board be bad and need to be replace or repaired. loosing faith in Whirlpool

Our dishwasher started to appear to not start / do the dry cycle. Could not select hi temp wash or sani rinse. After a couple of weeks of that now I can’t select any cycle. Regardless of what I press the Control Lock light start to blink than it goes steady and after a minute or so it goes off. The same things happens when I press Start button. The last time the washer ran it finished, draining the water. Just the heating probably did not start. When I think about it. I am not sure I saw red light come on when we were noticing this. The door appears to close and latch fine. However nothing happens as no cycle is selected and start button is not working. I have shut the power to the dishwasher for a minute. When power was brought back the issue remains. I hope you have some suggestions as to what could the problem be.
