I am getting swings of over 50 degrees above and below the set oven temperature. Is this normal? I am thinking i need a new thermostat?

My oven just quit working and the thermostat knob does not "click" when turned up anymore. Would this part probably be the reason the oven is not working or is there another fuse?
For model number SEG196W

Hi Zack, Thank you for the question. If the switch does not make the click noise it may not be engaging and turning the temperature up.Hope this helps!

My oven works fine, but when using the clean position on both the selector and temperature switch, I get no heat in the oven compartment. The temperature switch does not click when going from the last temperature to the clean indicator. What new parts do i need?
For model number S156
PartSelect logo
Hello Richard, Thanks for your question. You may want to test the oven thermostat to ensure it has continuity with a multi-meter and replace it if it is not showing continuity. I hope this helps.

Jenn-Air s161 oven no longer self cleans. The lever and control seem to work, but no heat. Which part(s) controls this and is it still available. Thanks for your help
For model number Jenn-Air S161

Hello Ron, Thank you for your inquiry. We would recommend checking the following parts to fix your issue: oven thermostat, the oven door switch and the oven control board. You can test the parts with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, there are YouTube videos available to assist you. Hope this helps!

Neither my broiler or oven element work (no heat at all.) the temperature knob, when turned, sounds like it is turning something on, but nothing heats up. Is this the part i need? Also, my propane burners work, but do not self light. I have to light them manually. Is there a starter i need?
For model number SEG196
PartSelect logo
Hi Tammy, Thank you for your question. It may be this part that is your issue. I would suggest testing this part along with both your broil and bake element to see if they are all working correctly. You do have two valve switches that you could check on your burner valves. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
