no heat in dryer
I removed front cover of dryer and found heating unit. I needed the detailed drawings from the PartSelect web site to help me find how to get the front cover off. It was easy after that changing out the sensors and reinstalling the heating unit.

Diagonstics required a multi meter.
The part was removed and the internet serched.
My local parts center was more expensive and would have to order the part. I called Partselect
found exactly what i needed. placed the order with 3 to 5 day ground. Fedex arived the next day. The new part was installed and the dryer smoke tested. The dryer works great.

Long Drying time
I ordered two parts for my Maytag model MDE7400ATW, and studied the videos on your website. Both showed front panel access by removing screws on the bottom of the panel. My front was completely different. It seems both configurations bear the same model number.
I thought I had the wrong parts, then I looked for other videos on the website related to other parts replacement and found that some did have the same cabinet as mine, such as the idler wheel, Part Number WP6-3700340
They should make it clear on the website that there are two cabinet configurations and customers may have to look at the videos for other repairs to learn the correct way to take off the front panel. It may save returns from customers who simply can’t open the front.
After all, the repair went well, but the screw holding the heater assembly in the rear is a long reach and I needed a flashlight to see wher the screw needed to go.

This is a Maytag "Neptune" dryer. Lt now takes nearly an hour to dry a load that used to take 38 to 48 minutes. The time (57 min) is displayed when i start the dryer. I haven't changed the settings (very dry; regular temperature; sensor dry; no options selected). The clothes get nicely dried, just like always, in about that time. Should i do anything replace the heater or what?

Hi Don, Thank you for your inquiry. I would suggest testing your thermostats and your thermal fuses with a multi-meter first. Then you can also test your heater to see which one of these parts are giving you the issue. Good luck with your repair.
