Microwave works on sensor mode, reheat, potato, etc. It goes on in cook time and add 30 second mode but it does not turn on the magnetron to cook food. Would this be a bad keypad?
For model number Jmv8208ws0
Hi Mike, Thank you for the question. If you are able to select the modes and the microwave turns on but does not produce heat, the keypad is fine. I suggest replacing or testing the Diode, PartSelect Number PS3654932 or the Capacitor, PartSelect Number PS11731152. If these parts are good the magnetron may need to be replaced. Hope this helps!

Microwaved was acting like the door was open when closed. I installed the wrong door switch on the microwave and now it has no power. I checked the fuse and it is okay. Im not sure which part was damaged by installing the incorrect switch. Please advise on the correct door switches and which parts would be damaged by this error. Thanks

Hi Mike,
Thank you for your question. There are 3 door switches listed under your model number. The parts numbers listed for them are PS2361111, PS2361113 and PS10057151. to verify which part is causing the issue, you will need to test them with a multimeter. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Microwave does not power. I checked the fuse, it was blown so i replaced. It powered up but as soon as i used it the fuse blew again. Does the circuit board behind the control panel need to be replaced?
Hi Sean,
Thank you for your question. If the fuses are blowing in your microwave, this may be caused by a power surge causing a short circuit. This power surge can be caused by a few factors. You may have a malfunctioning interlock switch or cooling fan. Another possible problem is a short in the controller or near the line cord that feeds power into the microwave. You may have a short in the magnetron. The magnetron produces the heat that cooks the food in the microwave. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Units works fine. Display is very dim too can not read. Is there any fix or do I need a new control panel.
