Is this the part number for the lint trap with screen in it that is located just below the door for the dryer? Thank you.

Hi Marilyn, Thank you for the question. Yes, this is the lint screen just below the door. As per manufacture the felt seal is no longer needed with the lint filter.Hope this helps!

My dryer lint filter will not insert all the way. It gets within a half of an inch of inserting and it stops with a solid resistance like it has hit something. I have cleaned out and checked for any obtrusions. I am leaning towards the filter needs to be replaced, but i don't see any evidence of warping or damage. Any ideas?

Hi Susan, Thank you for your question. If your lint filter is not sliding all the way in, you will need to check the guides on the inside of the housing along the sides for any debris that may be preventing it from going back in correctly. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

The screen in the lint filter was broken
Since it was a dryer filter, it just had to be put in the dryer. Works GREAT!!
