Is the right part.
I actually don't need the new filter. The problem was a build up of lint underneath the filter. I was able to remove the excess lint and the original part is perfectly OK. I guess if it ever breaks I have a replacement -- unfortunately it cost me over $100.00.

The screen in the lint filter was broken
Since it was a dryer filter, it just had to be put in the dryer. Works GREAT!!

My dryer lint filter will not insert all the way. It gets within a half of an inch of inserting and it stops with a solid resistance like it has hit something. I have cleaned out and checked for any obtrusions. I am leaning towards the filter needs to be replaced, but i don't see any evidence of warping or damage. Any ideas?

Hi Susan,
Thank you for your question. If your lint filter is not sliding all the way in, you will need to check the guides on the inside of the housing along the sides for any debris that may be preventing it from going back in correctly. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Is there a seal gasket which fits into the recess around the perimeter of the dryer lint trap?
The booster fan connected to my dryer is sucking all the lint through the gap between the lint trap and the dryer.

I broke those two rectangular pieces that opens when you insert back the filter in and flips close when you pull up the filter. What are those parts called, and are those parts replaceable?
