Circulation pump very noisy....something wasn't correct
Followed whirlpool Youtube available for DIY.
Caution....ensure that the pump POWER plug does not loosen when reinserting the pump/drain/filter (middle of dishwasher bottom). The plug can get offset if it hits the electrical conduit or water feed/drain hoses under the dishwasher.
Minimal water when disconnecting drain hoses...have towels at the ready.
Again, follow the Youtube video!

Pump quit working
Removed the old pump, got part number from it, ordered the part. Simply a matter of slipping the new pump into place, reconnecting the electric, testing the machine out to make sure it did not leak. Then slid back in place with the cabinets.

Will failure of this cause water to not be sprayed. My dishwasher fills and drains but doesn't spray water. This model doesn't have a chopper in the tub. Is the chopper in the pump
For model number Wdf530payw0
Hello Justin, thank you for contacting us. Yes, if this part is faulty it would not circulate the water properly or at all. The chopper is located in the pump-motor assembly. Hope this helps!

It makes noise when running but water does not spray . Do i need motor and pump
For model number WDT710PAYM6
Hi Mark,
Thank you for your inquiry. If the dishwasher is not spraying water, then you will need to make sure there is proper water pressure. Turn the tap on first to make sure there is good water flow. If there is good water flow, then you will need to check the water inlet valve, the filter, the turbidity sensor, the lower spray arm and the middle spray arm. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Hi, dishwasher fills and pumps out. Doesn't spray. I noticed in a previous answer you said to check the turbidity sensor. Where is it and how do i check it?
For model number Wdf510payba
Hello Bill,
Thank you for your question. The turbidity sensor is locate on the side of the sump assembly and can be accessed by removing the panel underneath the dishwasher door. The sensor can be removed by turning it counter clockwise about a half rotation, and pulling it from the unit. There will be a wire harness attached to it, and by depressing the tab you should be able to remove the wire harness by pulling it out of the sensor. You can test the turbidity using the field service test found in your owners manual. Hope this helps!

Would turn on fill and sit there. Hit cancel it would drain. Replaced control panel. Now will fill run cycles drain clean light on soap dispenses also. Dishes not washed . Lower spray arm not turning, cleaned filter. Seems water not spraying to me . Think its pump maybe . Thanks
For model number wdf520padm0
Hi Dave, thank you for your question. First you should check all of your tubes and arms for any blockage as it sounds like water is not pushing through strong enough and blockage can stop that. You may want to check your filter as well. If those parts are fine then it is likely your pump that is the issue. Good luck with your repair.

My dishwasher used to spin both the top and bottom spray arms, now only the bottom spray arm seems to be working. The tube and top spray arm attachment have been checked and cleaned. I saw that it could be the pump being faulty. What part of the pump can be cleaned to improve water pumping function? Or what part in the pump can cause this issue, can it be fixed? Or is the only solution to buy a whole new part and pray it works?
For model number WDF510PAYW6
Hi Quince, the only way to be sure a part will fix your issue is to hire a local technician to take a look. You can try and clean the filter and pump, you would have to disassemble the pump to do this properly. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair!

Can hear water run in. When pump starts makes a growling noise. Dished are not clean and soap pack does not dissolve. Looking at changing out pump
For model number WDT710PAYM6
Hello James, thank you for contacting us. The most likely causes of this combination of symptoms are the Heating Element part number PS8260087 or the Drain Pump part number PS11753379 for your model. You may need to replace the Dispenser part number PS11756691 for the soap pack not dissolving. I hope this helps and good luck with your repair!

Hello, My dishwasher is having an issue. Water is filling, but it just stays in the bottom and does not come out the sprayer arms. I checked the filters, and there is no debris. The water will drain once the job is cancelled. We did dial back the water pressure to the sink. Can insufficient water pressure cause the pump to burn out? Could there be another part that broke? Thanks, Kevin
For model number WDF510PAYSA
Hello Kevin, Thank you for the question. This is normally an indication the Circulation Pump and Motor is faulty. The Circulation Pump is separate from the Drain pump. It is responsible for circulating the water to the spray arms during the wash cycle. The Water pressure may effect the Water Inlet valve but will not effect the circulation pump. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!
