board was blown
second time on this dishwasher in 5 yearss. removed the front cover as well as the indicator panel. board slides and unhooks . I should have taken a picture of the wire connections but the colors matched sockeets matched and i remembered it well. hardest part was putting the front cover back on.
works great. wife was very impressed :-) saved proably $400.

The rinse only light stays on (not very bright) having trouble starting the dishwasher at times. Would not do anything at all until i turned off breaker switch for a few minutes, then it started. Touch pads non responsive. Is it the the control panel or the control board? Whats the difference?

Thank you for the question. This usually means the control board will need to be replaced. The control panel if the front plastic part that has the words and overlay and the board is the electronic part that controls the appliance.

Heat dry light will not come on when button is pressed. Is this the control panel or the control board. Also, since the light won't come on i presume i'm not getting the heat dry cycle when the dishwasher runs?

Hello Fred, thank you for contacting us. This could be either the control board or the control panel. The panel could have a short and is not sending signal to the board, or the board may not be receiving it properly. You may want to have these 2 parts tested to determine which is at fault. My panel would light the delay light and cancel lights dim on and off. I got the machine to wash and the lights went off and did not show the Green light when it was finished and it went through the complete cycle. Now i can't get the machine to start and the two lights are dim. Is it the board or control module?

Hello Dale, thank you for your question. If your control panel is not lighting up then the first thing you should check is the fuse. You have to adjust your meter to the Rx1 setting. Touch the edges of the fuse with the mulimeter probes, If it goes to 0 then the fuse is good. If the multimeter does not move at all you need to replace it. If the fuse is not bad, the issue is probably the electronic conrol board itself, part number WPW10380685. I hope this helps!

No lights, does not start or anything. Have elect to it. Is it control panel?

Hi Hill, Thank you for the question. This sounds like an issue with the replays on the control board. The relays are not repairable so the board will need to be replaced. Hope this helps!

1hour wash light will not go out, will go from bright to dim when pushed. Washer will stop in mid cycle. Will this be the circuit board?

Our dishwasher usually runs fine but occasionally the control panel is non-responsive. If i switch the breaker off and back on, it will start working again. Recently, we have had an electrical burning smell when we run the dishwasher. It appears to be coming from inside the front door. Are these two problems related and which parts do i need to rectify them? Thanks for your help.

Hello Stephen, thank you for your question. It sounds like you may be having an issue with Part Number: PS4704481 thermal fuse. This part can cause the touch pad to become non responsive and can cause that smell. We would recommend replacing that part and checking the wiring from the panel to the board for any burn or scorch marks. I hope this helps!

My dishwasher turns off mid-cycle, all lights work. Is this a control board issue?

Hi Pam,
Thank you for your inquiry. There are a couple of reasons why your dishwasher is turning off mid cycle.
I hope this helps. It could be a tripped breaker, a broken motor or a broken latch, or it the dishwasher maybe set to a short washing cycle with a longer drying setting. The wash cycles are not completing full cycle and the dryer is not turning on every time. Is this the control board issue?

Hi, the dishwasher not turning on, no lights on control panel, when turned off and on from the breaker only a short 3 blinks of the finishing lines light on the small right window. I read the q&s here, some say its a door latch problem, others say if its a door latch problem the washer will have lights on the control panel but it will not start then it’s a control board problem, my question is will door latch problem prevent any power or lights to the dishwasher? Thanks

Hello Kamal, Thank you for the question. In most cases no lights mean it is a control board, however if you do have lights when power is restored it means the board is still receiving power. It is best to test the Switches in the latch first before replacing the board. We hope this helps.
