The oven does not bake at an even temperature.Led indicates (ex) 400 but inside temp measures 325. need to set at 450 and wait for my thermometer set inside to reach 400.
temp varies throughout the baking cycle and ruins anything being baked.
open the door to put in the cake and the stove shuts down.
need to restart to get it to heat up again.
you can hear the pilot light trying to start over and over.
makes a loud popping noise when we finally give up and turn it off.
my wife has always been a great baker, but she can't trust this oven to work right.
i can't afford a new oven.this one is only 2 years old. our 1952 wedgewood was a much better oven by far.

Hello Bob, Thank you for contacting us. I suggest checking PS11749737 Oven Sensor with a multimeter. This oven temperature sensor, for ranges, works together with the oven control board to measure and regulate the oven temperature. The sensor detects the temperature in the oven cavity. If the following symptoms occur, replacing the temperature sensor could be the solution: Little or no heat when baking, oven not heating evenly, oven will not start, and/or oven is overheating. Often, if the sensor is defective, the oven temperature will fluctuate and be inaccurate by more than 50 degrees. Hope this helps!

I already replaced the temp sensor. What is the next possible reason?
Hello Bob, Thank you for contacting us. If the sensor did not fix the issue, you may have a defective control board, Part Number: PS11755398. Thank you for your inquiry, good luck with this repair!
What should the the temp sensor be reading if i put a multimeter across it.? disconnected- connected with stove running- the control board is over $300. close to what i paid for this thing.
Hello Bob, thank you for contacting us. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!
