No action for the attachments for cutting/chopping.
I removed the rear cap, decorative strap, and decorative ring. Next I drove out the pin holding the mixing head. I then removed the 9 screws holding on the motor/gearing portion. This facilitated removal of the gearing from the motor assembly. I next laid in the new gears and calculated what thickness of fiber washers were needed to hold the gears in place. Reassembly was in reverse order of dissassembly.

I am trying to stop a oil leak on the shaft where it comes out of the gear housing. I believe a new washer number 23 is what I need. My question is where does this oil come from? Is it grease or a oil flood lube system?
For model number K5SS
Hello Edward, Thank you for the question. It would be a grease that is leaking. The gears inside the housing are lubed up with a fair bit of grease when installed. If a fair amount has already leaked out, you may want to take the housing apart and add more grease. PartSelect Number: PS12583821. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!
