Oven would not heat - no function from touchpad panel.
First I shut off the power to the stove at the house breaker panel. Next I removed the knobs for the burner controls and removed the two screws holding in each burner switch. Then I removed the two screws on the side of the panel and the four screws on the bottom of the panel. Then the panel could be pulled out to access the clock assembly. Setting the burner switches out of the way, I removed the four screws holding in the clock, unplugged the ribbon cable for the touchpad and removed the clock assembly. Next step was to remove the indicator lights for the burners, The light holders just slide off of the red lenses the stick thru the control panel. The lenses then push out of the panel. At this point the old panel is disconnected and you are ready to install the new panel in reverse order. The process was so easy, my nine year old grandson was able to help me.

Walked by range, caught clothes on control and broke it off, poorly designed contorl knob
Finally figured out that there were two side screws along with 4 bottom screws. Had to pull range out of island about 3". Turned off power then removed control panel and replaced infinite control. Took about 15 min. Took about 3 weeks to figure out where the two side screws were even after web search. Finally figured it out by pulling out range from island.

The convection part of the oven doesn't work as well as the oven lite stays continuously on. Everything else appears to work fine on the control board. Convection fan doesn't run.
For model number Jenn-Air Range JES9800BAB
Hello Tom, thank you for your question. The issue with the convection not working could be the electronic control board part number PS11745985 or the control panel part number PS11750341. If the other selections in the oven like bake and broil work, the issue is most likely the control panel. I hope this helps!

The oven light is turning on and off without touching the control panel. The oven light can also be turned on or off by pressing different locations of the clear panel. Is this a failure of the oven light switch that replacing the control panel will address?
For model number JES9860BAB
Hello Mike, Thank you for the question. This sounds like an issue with the Electronic Clock Oven Control, Part Number: PS11745985. This part controls the operations of the appliance and oven. You can also check the wire harness ribbon that connects from the front panel to the board to make sure there is no damage and it is securely installed. Thank you for your inquiry, good luck with this repair!

My oven sporadically turns off. It just turns off. Hove to keep an eye on it when baking. No alarms or anything. What part do I need to change? IS it control board?
For model number jes9860bab
Hello John, Thank you for your inquiry. The most common cause if the stove shutting off too soon is that the stove is over heating or the control board is thinking it is overheating. We would recommend checking the sensor and the thermostat assembly first. You can test the parts with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, we have videos available to assist you. We hope this helps and if you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!
