Drying aid cap came off and partially melted. Will this cause a drying problem. I noticed that the plastic items would not dry.

Hello Mark, Thank you for contacting us. It is possible that the missing cap is in some way responsible, especially if this issue started following the cap falling off. However, first I would suggest checking PS8260087 Heating Element, and PS11743423 High Limit Thermostat with a multimeter. Good luck with your repair!
