Dishwasher wouldn't right, Cycle options not functioning correctly
Dishwasher quit running. I could get all of the lights on the panel to light in test mode. So I knew the panel had power. However, if I tried to set any of the Cycle options.. .the dishwasher would not run. Figured it was probably a faulty control panel.
Ordered the part. Once it arrived it was only a few screws to remove from the door and panel. Popped out the old panel, door lock mechanism and circuit board (all very easy to do) and reinstalled with new panel in less than 15 minutes. Watch any of the available YouTube videos and this is actually an easy repair that saved me hundreds of $!

I wrote to you a few days ago about this part. Thank you for your responses thus far; i still need two more questions answered. 1. I need the silver plastic cover for the control buttons that sit upon the top of the door. Your site lists 3 different part numbers for the “control panel.” which one of those part numbers would fit my particular model? It is a Whirlpool stainless steel model gu2275xtvy3 dishwasher. 3. I have looked around thee dishwasher model section on your site for the how to instructional videos on the control panel as you mentioned, but i cannot locate it. The video (how to change this control panel) does not appear when i click on the link for the door parts or on the words below the picture either. Nor does it pop up when the schematic drawing is in view. Is there another way to access this instructional video (how to change the control panel) if i order it and do it myself?
For model number GU2275XTVY3
Hi Margaret,
Thank you for your inquiry. The universal silver control panel, part number WPW10175238, has been discontinued by Whirlpool and you will need to contact them for information a replacement part. Their telephone number is 1-866-698-2538. If they provide you with a part number for the part, you may call us back with it and we can verify if we have it available for you. There is a video on our website that you can reference on how to install the the control panel. It is a video about installing an electronic control board but it does provide information on how to remove a control panel. You will find the video under part number PS11748220. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
