I need a control panel. Error message f01. What is the correct part number?

Hi i get an f70 error code on my dryer and from reading online it sounds like the control board is defective. Does that sound right? I would hate to replace it and have the error code still be there.. mike

Hello Mike, thank you for your question. Usually that error code is in relation to an error between the control panel and the control board. You can unplug the unit for about 20 minutes and plug it back in and see if that resolves the issue. If that doesn't help, we would recommend checking the connections between the board and control panel to see if there are any breaks or burns on the wire connections. If everything looks good there the control board would be the first part we would recommend replacing. I hope this helps.

Hello Dawn, thank you for contacting us. The control panel for this model has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available. You can still get the control boards if you needed those. They are part PS2580566. Good luck with the repair!

My dryer stopped running. I found that the thermal fuse was open, so i replaced it. Ran the diagnostics and got f25 error code, indicating a shorted inlet thermistor. I installed a new one, but i still get the f25 code. What are the other possible failures?

Hello Dan, Thank you for your inquiry. A F25 error can also indicate that the main control board cannot detect the speed of the drive motor. First check the bearings on the tub for any wear. Then check for a loose connection in the wiring between the drive motor and both of the electronic control boards. You can test all three parts with a multimeter for continuity as well. Dryer indicated error codeF23 after 1 minute of operation
I followed the test guidance on the tech sheet (located behind the front lower cover). According to it, F23 was a short in the outlet thermistor. The thermistor tested good along with all the other replaceable temp related devices.
I then started a general diagnostic following the steps in the tech guide. The dryer failed a motor control step which indicated a bad control board. Replacing the board (after it arrived) took less than 5 minutes and was 100% plug and play.
The most difficult part was ensuring that the test leads for the multimeter were on the correct test points. If you are not confident in using a multimeter, I would not recommend you perform this level of repair.
