Will this part also correct overheating bake unit wont cool down
For model number rf111pxs1
Hello Robert, thank you for your question. I would recommend testing the sensor first, part number PartSelect Number: PS11749737. To test your probe with a multi-meter. First you must set your meter to the lowest setting. Then calibrate your meter so that the needle is on zero. Disconnect the power to your appliance and then remover your sensor. At the end of your sensor, the little plug in has two separate holes on the inside. Take the probes on each end of your meter, place one in each hole. If your meter stays at zero, your sensor will need to be replaced. If the sensor is good, the switch would need to be replaced. I hope this helps!

Basic Amana range. Cooktop elements all work, but oven bake and broil elements do not turn on. Oven/broiler Indicator light does not light up. Wiring all intact. As far as I can determine problem is "oven temperature switch" (part WP9762215, $270.61) or "oven sensor" (part WPW10181986, $120.73). Based on my description, which of two is likely to be culprit?

Hello Paul, thank you for your inquiry. Based on the description that you have provided, the issue is most probably with the selector switch, part number PS11747359. It lets you choose the oven cooking options such as bake, broil and pre-heat. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. Glad to be of assistance!
