Dishwasher door leaked
!. I read the directions
2. Unplugged the dishwasher and removed the racks
3. I took off the 2 bottom panels and unhooked springs
4. I bent outward the tabs holding the door rod(A little difficult to get them bent far enough to remove the door)
5. pulled the door up and out of the bent tabs
6. Pulled out the old gaskets and replaced them with the new gaskets (I soaped the door one with liquid detergent)
7. Replaced the door etc and it does not leak!

Dishwasher leaked during rinse cycle emptying
I removed the door gasket first by sliding it out. Then I pulled the door seal out. It suggested removing the springs, very hard to find and do, so we left them in place and did not use two parts of the kit because they were still good.
Putting in the door seal was a bit tricky because we had to use something to push it into the groove. That was the reason for the credit card. It was easier to push it into groove rather than doing it with a screw drive for fear of punacturing a hole in the rubber gasket. It worked well. Then we kept checking to see if the door shut properly, It was tight at first, but seemed a little better after adjusting the seal a bit.No leaks after that.

the large gasket had completely disintegrated into a soft mushy substance
just pay attention to how the old gasket was installed, then pay close attention to how you remove it from its groove. replace with flat sides and grooves just the same.. I actually left about on third of the old gasket in place until I seated the new gasket to make sure I was doing it correctly. visually divide the gasket groove into 2 parts with the dividing line at the top of the groove, place a piece of tape on the new gasket at its middle and begin there, first one side then the other,,, that way there is no stretching to complete the circuit. easy , I am a 62 year old grandmother of 7,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

dishwasher was leaking
At first I considered replacing the gasket on my own but was not sure If that was the problem. I had a service person come in (at great expense) to tell me it may or may not be the problem but he could order the gasket and replace it. I did it myself.

I removed the old gasket by hand, simply by pulling it out of its track. I sprayed clean water in the track to clean out old soap and debris. I soaked the new part in warm water for a few minutes to soften and lubricate it. I centered the gasket in position and began pushing it into the track with a one inch putty knife, being careful not to damage the rubber. There is a slot along the gasket that will accept a flat tool to push it in. At the corners, I had to use a screwdriver to work around the curves. In a few minutes the gasket was in and no more leaks. It couldn't be easier.

Dishwasher leaked
I used a pair of pliers to take out the corroded old door gasket. I then used my fingers to put in the new gasket, beginning at the middle of the top of the frame and working my way down on each side. It couldn't have been easier.

dishwasher door gasket leaking
Had replaced dishwasher door gasket previously. Not this one. From that learned a bit.

Looked on internet DIY articles that gave some help like soaking gasket in warm warter to make pliable. Was already quite pliable so damptened the gasket with soapy warter to insert gasket by hand. Stretched the gasket during insertion to make a tight fit. That's it!

leaking door gasket
This was nothing. The old door gasket came out in 2 seconds. I put the new one in some hot water for about 5 minutes to soften it, then pushed it in with my fingers. That's it. If I were to do it again I'd start in the center of door and gasket, so as to not have to re-adjust it for length. The whole job took less than 15 minutes.

We need to replace the door seal, but I keep seeing two different ones. The long coiled one for around the door and also a shorter straight one for the bottom of the door. Do I need both? Does this model use both?

Hello Ed, Thank you for contacting us. Upon reviewing the model I do not show an adhesive on the parts list. If your gasket has started to fray or is failing in any form, I would suggest replacing it. Have a great day!
