The brain in the oven said temperature control is bad. You have a part that says it is the brain in the oven. Which part do i need
For model number RBS30PDB16
Hi William,
Thank you for your question. It sounds like you are referring to the oven sensor. If the oven is not heating correctly, then the issue is likely with the oven sensor, sometimes called the oven thermostat, and you will need to check it with a multimeter. When testing the sensor with a multimeter, the sensor should be tested at room temperature and it should be unplugged from the oven. You will need to measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. Replace the oven sensor if the reading is less than 900 Ohms or more than 1200 Ohms. If it does check out fine, then you will need to check the electronic control board, the oven elements and the wiring between them. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Hello. My built-in oven range is defaulting to the broil feature when i am baking. I suspect the control board is the problem, and needs replacing. Does this make sense? Thanks.

Hi Terry, thank you for your question. Yes, that sounds like it would be an issue with your control panel but I would also suggest quickly testing both your bake and broil elements with a multi meter to determine if they are working. They should be reading between 0 - 50 ohms to be working correctly. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

My oven broiler eye will just come on and stay on it will not turn off. Have to cut breaker and then it will be fine for a few days and then it will come on again. I think it’s the brain. What do you think.

Hi Steven, Thank you for the question. This sounds like and issue with the oven control board. The board is not repairable, so it will need to be replaced. Hope this helps!

I changed the temperature sensor, is there a way to test the control board. Is the control board a returnable part if doesn't fix my problem?
For model number RBS305PDB16
Hello Rick, Thank you for the question. Unfortunately there is no way to test the Board. At times the board may show signs of a short or damage but not always. We have linked our 30 day return policy below. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!
