Great part. Easy repair.
The part was in great condition and came real quick within 2 to 3 days. The online video was an added bonus and exactly what was required. Thank you all involved. My dryer is now good as new.

Dryer timer would not turn off
Removed the back of the control panel, removed the 2 screws holding the timer on the units and replaced the timer wire for wire. The timer in place, put the 2 screws in and closed up the panel. tested the dryer work like a charm.

Dryer doesn't heat and timer won't move
Unfortunately the repair did not go well. I have changed the timer, 3 thermal fuses and the 240v fuse. I have had professional repair folks come to the house and tell me it was the timer.
I have no idea what's left to change or fix but the dryer still doesn't heat and the timer doesn't move.

Dryer wont heat, have replaced the fuse, heat element and all t stat sensors still no heat.Could the timer cause no heat? Don't want to drop $120 for part on a guess. All other functions appear to work
For model number LER4634JQ1
Hi Tom, Thank you for the question. This dryer timer is used to control the unit's cycles by regulating the length of time that power is directed to each setting and the element. The timer can cause no heat but the only way to know for sure is to test the timer with a multi meter. You will test the black wire coming to the timer and the white/black wire. Should have 120 volts across them. Hope this helps!

My dryer isn't heating and the timer isn't advancing. Should i first try replacing the timer? Thanks
For model number LEN1000PQ0
Hi Jeff,
Thank you for your inquiry. If the timer is not advancing there are a few parts you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. The parts you will need to check are the internal bias thermostat, the thermal fuse, the timer, the thermal cut-off kit, the high limit thermostat, the heating element, the belt and the door switch. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Can i verify the timer is working by using a continuity tester and touching the timers whiteblack wire and the black wire mentioned below
For model number Teds740pq1
Hello Greg and thank you for writing.
This is the best way to test the Timer :
Raise the control panel and turn the setting to "Normal Dry". Look for a wiring diagram located on the back of the unit, inside the cabinet or control panel, which tells the correct Ohms range, and what contacts should be open or closed.
Move the scale on the multimeter to read Rx1, and zero the multimeter by touching two probes together. Set the dial on the multimeter to read "0". Touch one probe to the terminal where you removed the wire and the second probe to any other contact on the timer.
You should get a reading between 2000 and 3000 OHMs or in the range of the suggested reading on the diagram. If contacts open when they should be closed or closed when they should be open based on the diagram, or you get a reading out of range, replace the timer. Open contacts should read OL (Open Loop) and closed contacts should read 0. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.

Timer will not advance (at times) and dryer does not stop cycle, and is very hot. Timer buzzer does not work. Dryer starts as soon as you close the door, not by pressing start, thoughts?
For model number TEDS740PQ0
Hello Jonah, Thank you for the question. With the details provided, this sounds like an issue with a defective Timer Switch. I suggest replacing the timer. Hope this helps!
