Microwave controls work, light comes on, but does not heat, nor does turntable spin
The lack of magnetron operation was immediately diagnosed as a door switch problem. This as a cheap and quick repair, simply removing some of the cover screws (some of which are security-style Torx) on the back and right side of unit. It is not necessary to remove the cover completely, just to gain enough access to swap the micro-switch in. The microswitch itself is retained by plastic tabs, and a plastic dowel. The wires are spade connectors that are very tight, and may require needle-nose pliers to manipulate. The enabled the oscillation circuit (magnetron) to engage.

However, the turntable still did not turn when the magnetron was activated. Removing the turntable and support assembly, the turntable support was damaged at the coupling socket to the motor. A small straw was affixed over the motor to ensure it was still spinning, but it was found to have failed, as well. A new turntable support and motor were ordered and installed. It required completely removing the top and bottom covers. Be careful not to remove the bolts for the transformer, attached to the bottom cover in the right side with different style bolts than the standard cover screws. This will allow the transformer to move, and as it is very heavy, it can damage wiring or other sensitive parts. Once the bottom cover is removed, the motor is easily and quickly removed by removing one screw and tilting the motor housing around a retaining tab. Assembly is reverse. Aligning all of the the cover tabs simultaneously is the most difficult part of the process.
