My current broil element is not heating up properly. It will heat but only slowly and only to a low temp. I believe this is the cause of my heating issues and i currently have to set my oven 15 degrees higher than needed. Does this come with instructions on how to replace? Do we just unscrew from the back of the oven wall? Thank you.
For model number 66595822003
Hello DeAnn, Thank you for your inquiry. Pull out the oven racks, and remove the screws that hold the element to the inside top of the oven. Remove the two screws on the back wall, once you have the screws undone, you can pull the element out. Since the wires are short, it is recommended you place a twist tie or wire to keep them from falling back inside the oven, then disconnect them from the element. If they do fall back inside the oven, you will have to remove the back panel to push them back through the holes. Grab the end of the wire with a pair of needle nose pliers and pull it forward and reconnect it to each side of the element and remove the ties. Once you have it connected, you have to guide the wires back through the holes in the back of the oven. Reconnect the brackets on the rear wall and top of the oven. Although we do not have a repair video for this exact part number, I have included a link to a similar part to assist you. Hope this helps!
