The touch pad does not accept any of the button commands. This includes setting the clock, setting the timer and trying to set lower and upper ovens. The gas stove top burners still function. This seems more likely a control pad issue. Would you concur?

Hi James,
Thank you for your question. The touchpad may be causing the issue, but the issue is likely the short oven sensor. The temperature sensor on your oven detects the temperature within the oven cavity. If you notice your oven is too hot, not hot enough, or does not heat evenly, the short oven sensor kit may need replacing. This oven sensor is referred to as the short sensor and is 3 inches long. It should not be confused with the 6-inch-long sensor. The oven sensor is located on the back wall of the interior of the oven. You will need to use a multimeter and test the sensor, the touchpad, the electronic control board and the wiring between the parts to verify which part is causing the issue. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

I measured each oven temperature sensor with a dvm and the ohms read 1.0670 kohms. So i do not think that the sensors are the problem. So i am not sure how replacing these sensors would allow me to change the time on the display or turn the oven lights on or off but i can replace them if needed. Please advise.

Hello James, Thank you for your inquiry. I would advise testing the control board and membrane switch first if your display is not functioning. Hope this helps!
