My oven begins heating and then just turns itself off. It will lock the door for a minute or so after it turns itself off. I have been told that it needs a new control board. What do you think?Thanks for your help!

Hello Teresa, thank you for your question. We would recommend testing the sensor before ordering and replacing the board. The sensor PartSelect Number: PS1570174 which can be tested using a multi meter. At normal room temperature, the oven temperature sensor should have a resistance of 1050-1100 ohms. If it is not close to this it would need to be replaced. I hope this helps!

My oven will automatically lock door when shut and begin cleaning
If i can even set temp to bake it will automatically do same thing. Oven is not usable at all at this time.Will this part be correct

Hello Rosemarie, thank you for your question. It sounds like there may be an issue with the Long Oven Sensor PartSelect Number: PS1570174 or the Door Lock Switch PartSelect Number: PS2077099. We would recommend testing these parts first, before replacing the board. If these first two parts are tested and functioning properly, the issue is most likely the electronic board. Oven will not broil, it will bake. Would the control board fix the oven or could it be something else ???
