Third order from PartSelect for the same part over many years & I'm Very Happy!
This is a part that eventually blocks up with mineral deposits, even with a water softener, and renders your fridge filtered water system useless. It is almost impossible to find. There are only two sources I know of in Canada but PartsSelect is the most responsive, has the fastest delivery, and is very price competitive. The website is easy to navigate and their data base references most of the various part numbers for the same item across brands. I do all my own appliance repairs and PartSelect is my sole source no matter the appliance. I give PartsSelect an A+ rating.

Weak water delivery to water dispenser and ice maker and loud thumping sound.
Gain access to rear of refrigerator. Use protective board to prevent marring floor. Unplug refrigerator. Turn off water supply and depressurize line. Remove old water filter head. Disconnect filter head inlet water supply line located behind the refrigerator. Disconnect the filter head filtered water return line at the water valve. From refrigerator interior, disconnect the lower filter water cover. Press the outer cover away from filter head until one end is free of the water filter head tang and remove cover from second tang. Push the Styrofoam "block fill" toward the rear of the refrigerator to remove it. If you try to remove this from the outside by pulling it, it will likely break. Pull water filter head assembly to remove it. Install new part by reversing the steps.

Water flow from dispenser was just a trickle. After watching a couple videos on Youtube, I realized it was the water filter head, a part that just wears out after a few years.
First I checked to see if the water pump in the base of the refrigerator was working properly. To do this, I removed the water filter, placed the by-pass cap on the water filter head, and dispensed water. The dispenser worked very well so I knew it was not the pump. I had just bought a new filter so it was okay too. So I figured it was the Water Filter Head assembly. To install, I followed previous advice on Part Select website and followed a YouTube video that was excellent (enter "Refrigerator Water Filter Head and Tube Assembly-How to replace). Best advice...Styrofoam block that inserts from back of refrigerator where tubing enters...when removing, push it out from the inside of the refrigerator to avoid breaking it into pieces. Other good advice, unplug refrigerator and turn off valve to icemaker and water dispenser. Easy repair, could do it in half the time now because I was very careful when installing this item. Results: Excellent flow from dispenser!!! And better ice cubes too! Well worth the effort.

Water leak in water supply line at the rear of the filter head
Shut off refrigerator and the water removed line to water supply and the water line to the water valve on the refrigerator, took the filter and the cover off, pop left pin down and slide head to the left and then pulled the filter head out of the refrigerator and then reinstalled hooked water valve and the supply line and then turned on the water supply and check for leak, plugged refrigerator back in and started making ice.

The head of the filter connection was broken when trying connect a new water filter. What is the part # and the instructions to replace it. Thanks
For model number KBRS20ETSS00
Hi Martin,
Thank you for your question. The part number for the water filter head is PS11743696. There are some instructions that a customer has left on our website that you may find useful, "Gain access to rear of refrigerator. Use protective board to prevent marring floor. Unplug refrigerator. Turn off water supply and depressurrize line. Install new part by reversing the steps." I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

While replacing the water filter line the blue clamp holding down the water line broke. Do you sell the plastic blue clamp or will I have to buy the whole water inlet valve?
For model number JFD2589KES
Hi Min, thank you for the question. Based on our research, the blue clamp does not come separately. It comes as a part of the water inlet valve, part number PS11743697. You may need to buy the whole water inlet valve to fix the issue. We hope that helps!
