Water leaking from bottom of fridge
The line going from the ice maker fill valve ruptured and leaked water on the floor. The outlet fitting for the ice maker water inside the freezer was plugged with ice which caused the pressure to build up in the line and rupture it. The discharge tube inside was full of ice because the ice maker fill valve was old and was leaking ever so slightly. This allowed water to exit into the discharge tube gradually and build up ice to the point of blocking the discharge tube.

Ice maker is leaking Frosting up door chute needs replaced part number WP61005883 how do I get this done
Hi Harry,
Thank you for your question. Here are some instructions that a customer posted on how they installed the door chute, "First I unplugped the refrigerator, then I removed the drip shelf (slides out). Then removed the two screws hidden by the drip shelf. Then I removed the control panel by pulling out on the bottom then lifting slightly to to expose the ribbon cable. The circuit boards you see at this point will deliver an electrical shock if the refrigerator is plugged in. I disconnected the ribbon cable form the control (front) panel. Next I removed three screws that hold the chute assembly in place and worked the chute away from the door. Pay attention to the placement of the water line before you remove the chute. The bad flap fell out at this point but it is easy to figure out how to place the new one. When putting the chute back in place make sure the arm holding the flap is aligned in the groove of the solenoid plunger and not just setting on top. (I had to do this twice because the chute would not open the first time I put it back together). About a 30 min job because I took it apart the first time to see what was broken. I only needed the flap, the arm it mounts to an the solenoid were not broken. Easy to do and only cost about $16.00 with shipping for the part." We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know. We are open 7 days a week. We look forward to hearing from you!

l get ice collected in the bottom of my freezer constantly and my ice maker was making some ice then stopped making ice. The unit is 13 years old so
I think its the ice maker ,however what's causing the leaking water freezing could be water not reaching the ice maker? need some help on this one
For model number MFI12569vem3
Hi Joseph, thank you for your inquiry. It is possible that the ice maker, part number PS11749922, is causing the leak. However, there could be other reasons as well, such as a clogged defrost drain. If the defrost drain tube is clogged with ice or gunk, the water can not drain down the tube. Instead, it collects in a puddle at the bottom of the freezer and gets frozen. Clearing the drain tube usually fixes the problem. Replace the drain tube, part number PS8691807, if it is damaged or you can not clear a clog. We hope this information is useful!
