My washer wont spin or drain. Timer issue?

Hello John, Thank you for the question. This sounds like a defective Lid Switch Assembly, PartSelect Number PS11742021. The pin on the lid pushes on the lever of the lid switch to tell the machine that the lid is closed. If defective the appliance thinks the lid is open and will not go into the drain and spin cycle. My Kenmore washer quit operating after it filled with water. Now it won't drain the tub of water or spin at all. Sound like i need a whole new timer mechanism?? suggestions??

If the washer won't drain there might be a clogged pump or hose. It's common for small socks or other small clothing items to get into the water drain system and clog the hose leading to the pump or the pump itself. ...
