Threaded section of knob broke
I merely unscrewed the remainder of broken knob and attached the new knob which has a metal stem and should be much more durable. Piece of cake.

timer knob broke off on washing maching
I screwed the new knob on. No problem! But, was glad to see that replacement knob had metal part whereas original knob was all plastic. No wonder it broke after all these years of use. I don't expect the new knob to break. Thanks for carrying so many parts. It was easy to find.

Knob broke off
I was doing my laundry and when I went to turn the knob ot start the next load the knob just broke off in my hand - the machine is 15 years old and I've only needed to do one other small repair so all-in-all I can't complain but what a pain when you're in the middle of doing multiple loads. I found the part on the "official" site but it was costly and we probably wouldn't get it quickly - other option was to pick it up at a store about 2 hours away - with gas prices that wasn't an option.

Found Part Select - found the part - ordered (for about $5 less) - got it a couple of days later - twisted it on the threaded part and the washer was working within 30 seconds.

I would highly recommend Part Select and will use them for all my parts needs.

The knob broke at the threaded portion when turning to start second load of laundry. the knob was in my hand and I used my fingers to unscrew the threaded portion that was still on the center threaded shaft. I then turned the selector with my fingers to wash the next load.
I had already removed the broken knob with my fingers when it originally broke. It's just a right handed threaded piece that you can unscrew to the left as long as the shaft/timer is pushed in and locked in place. I have used partselect for a microwave/refrigerator ice maker/and for parts on the original stove installed when the house was built. Being familiar with the company I looked for the part here and the replacement part which is metal vice plastic as the original and a better part' took about 5 min. to verify it was what I wanted and it took 5 days from the date of order to it being delivered. Upon receiving the part, I made sure the timer was pushed in and just screwed the knob on until it turned with the clicking sound and made the timer rotate. Total time of removal and replacement of knew part was about 1 minute. As with my other orders for items, this was quick, painless and the part was in stock. Thanks for the excellent work at trying to stock as many as possible parts for older machines that us do it your selfers will repair on our own if we can get the part.

original Timer knob was made with plastic threads which broke.
I simply unscrewed the little piece of the original (plastic) left on the metal bolt from the timer knob which broke off and screwed on the new timer knob which was lined with metal instead of plastic. I'm sure this part will outlast my washer which is around 15 years old

original knob had grooves inside that had worn away
Unable to get information from Part Select on how to use the part that they sent. Part had no grooves. Part Select people were very nice and offered refund but I got the directions from somewhere else. Used needlenose pliers to hold timer shaft and remove the part with the grooves. After 21 years, the shaft was very fond of the grooved part, so it took some doing but it came off. Was able to screw the new part onto the threaded shaft underneath. Success!

I have an apartment size Kenmore washer in my rv.The water level knob got broken off,i know this is an older model, but i was hoping you would be able to help me locate a replacement part. The shaft the knob goes on is broken and i can only use the low setting only.

Hello Kevin, thank you for writing. If the Shaft the Knob goes onto is broken, then you would need the switch inside the Control Panel that it is a part of. Unfortunately, your model number is not recognized so we are unable to locate the correct replacement for you. Please verify your model number and get back in touch with us. Thank you.

The new timer knob fits on the thread nicely, but there is a broken nut just underneath it when it is threaded on, not standard nut style, that is broken. I cannot find the part number for this special type of nut. Where can i find it or the part number? Any ideas where this nut can be purchased or is it really needed?

Is this the correct push-pull knob for the main control dial (wash cycle, rinse, spin, etc)? I think it has a threaded shaft. I'm not sure how it attaches properly since the original just broke off. Finally, any idea as to age of the machine, which still works just fine? Thank you so much for your help.

Thought I just needed the knob on the timer on the console but it appears the plastic tooth gears on the metal shaft into the timer are broken so the knob has very little to grab and turn the metal rod/shaft. New timer?
