Everything works except the sensor button for the dryness wont change from damp dry. It will run but the clothes do not get dry. If i change the temperature setting the time shown changes but 35 is the most it will go to. On time dry i cant set the time longer than 13 minutes. It does heat up. The upper cabinet works fine. Do i need a new panel or just a new board?

Hello Sally, thank you for writing. It sounds like the issue would be the board itself. I would recommend checking the sensing bars to be sure they are clean as well. Sometimes you will get a buildup on the sensor bars and they will not send the proper signal to the board. I hope this helps!

When I hit start the timer screen does a countdown so that 60 minutes is 60 seconds and the machine will not start drying. It does this for any setting I try

Hi Doug, Thank you for your inquiry. It is generally not very difficult. If you think that you may not be able to do it, I would suggest you contact a repair technician to install the part. However, the best thing to do would be to take a picture of your board wiring before removing anything. That way you can reference the photo to see where everything goes. Good luck with your repair.

Hi Mike, Thank you for the question, The cycle and setting timer sounds like it is defective. The timer is built into the board on this model so the board will need to be replaced. Good luck with the repair!

Hi Sam, thank you for your question. Looking at your model information there are a few parts that you should take out and test to see which one is giving you the issue. The first parts to check in this case would be all of your thermostats and thermal fuses. You can test those parts with a multi meter and they should be reading 0 ohms to be working correctly. If those parts are fine, you should then go on to testing your heating element as well. You can also test that with a multi meter and it should be reading between 0 - 50 ohms. Something else you should also check would be your filter and ducts. Make sure there is absolutely no blockage that would restrict air flow in your appliance. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

We have to unplug and then reply in our dryer to get the led panel to turn on. Once it’s reset the dryer will go through it’s cycle, but then auto shut off again. I love this dryer and i don’t want to have to replace it. Will a new circuit panel fix it?

Good Day Melissa. Thank you for your question in regards to your unit MCG8000AWW. Does your panel give you an error code when you are trying to start it before you need to unplug it to reset it? Best Regards.
