Intermittent nd error only on final drain. Pump and line have been inspected and both are clear.Would a new control panel resolve this issue?

I have an LR error. The washer starts but it sounds as if it is not turning and the water does not drain out completely. Can you help?

Hello Lucy,
Thanks for your question. The error code means "locked rotor", which means your control is not detecting the rotor turning. You may want to test the electronic control board and the motor control with a multimeter for electrical continuity. Replace these parts if they do not show continuity. The motor itself may also need to be replaced.

Washing on cold, cotton, quick, machine stops at 8 minutes. Have to open the door and close it to finish cycle. We have to unplug the machine after each wash because it starts all by it self in the middle of the night or whenever it feels like it. It has a mind of its own, scary!!
