I am having ice build up behind the temperature-controlled drawer. When i scrape the ice away there is what appears to be a plastic filter housing that is about the width of the drawer. Two questions: 1 how do i stop the is build up and 2 is there a replaceable filter behind plastic housing with the slots? If there is a filter what part number i s it? Thanks in advance
For model number KFIS29BBMS00
Hi Howard, thank you for your question. I have linked the information for your filter behind those slots down below for you. If you are getting freezing in your fridge and your temperature is set correctly, then you may want to start checking your temperature sensor in the fridge section to make sure it is reading the correct information. You may also want to check the evaporator fan motor, the defrost thermostat, and defrost heater in the freezer section. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
